Students seeking admission to the PIVIP should schedule an appointment with the Managing Director of the program by phone or email. The students will be matched with participating companies, firms or entities, that will lead to an interview and determination of the terms of the internship opportunity.
To obtain academic credit for a co-op or internship experience, a student must register for a co-op or internship course with the respective College of Business department head, pay related tuition and other fees, and earn a satisfactory grade.
A student is eligible for the PIVIP based on the following criteria:
1. A minimum 2.5 overall grade point average.
2. Have obtained at least junior standing or 9 graduate credit hours.
3. Have strong working knowledge of office computer suites.
4. Have the approval of the student’s advisor.
To qualify for work with accounting, information systems, or finance management, the student must also have completed at least six hours of coursework in his or her respective field with at least a 2.5 grade point average.
